– a grateful student showed me she could be creative in another way too!
The lessons I offer usually follow one of the following stylistic tracks, based on what you are interested in playing. These are just examples, and I am continually trying to explore more about the instrument’s versatility, so let me know what you’d like to learn, and we can explore it together:
- Classical
- Celtic, Old-Time Appalachian, and Regional Mexican fiddle styles
- Jazz, Rock, Soul, Country and other styles of pop improvisation
- Middle Eastern, Eastern European, and other so-called “world music” styles
- Sacred music, playing and improvising for worshiping communities
I strive to give each student individualized lessons using teaching styles and musical examples based on what will be helpful and fun. All ages and skill levels welcome (you’re never too old or too young to start making music)
